Toqi zargaron.

Today, our last day of practice and amazing exploration, again we went to one of the trading domes, majestic toqi zargaron. Together with teachers and course mates, I explored the site. As usual firstly we shared all the information we have.

Toqi Zargaron is a historical bazaar located in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. It is one of several trading domes, known as "toqi," built in Bukhara during the 16th century under the rule of the Shaybanid dynasty. Here are some key details about Toqi Zargaron

Built around 1569-1570, Toqi Zargaron is part of Bukhara's ancient network of covered bazaars. These trading domes were strategically located at the intersection of major trade routes, facilitating commerce and the exchange of goods along the Silk Road. The bazaar is distinguished by its large, domed structure, which provides a cool environment essential for merchants and shoppers in the region's hot climate. The architecture combines traditional Islamic design with practical considerations for trade and commerce, featuring a central dome and several smaller domes that create a spacious and airy interior.

"Toqi" translates to "dome" or "arch," and "Zargaron" means "jewelers." Hence, Toqi Zargaron was traditionally a market where jewelers and goldsmiths sold their wares.Today, Toqi Zargaron continues to function as a marketplace. While it still hosts jewelers, it has diversified to include a variety of shops selling souvenirs, crafts, carpets, and other goods that attract tourists and locals alike. As part of Bukhara's rich cultural heritage, Toqi Zargaron contributes to the city’s historical charm and is a popular destination for visitors exploring the architectural and cultural legacy of the Silk Road.Toqi Zargaron is an excellent example of the enduring legacy of Bukhara's mercantile history and its role as a key trading hub in Central Asia.

To be honest, we were attracted by seeing ancient crafts there, especially eye-catching curves in the necklaces, earrings and head clothes are so impressive that they will make one feel, imagine the lifestyle of past people. To finish my journey, I should say that the experience during this two weeks has been so entertaining, adventurous and amazing. Actually,it was first time for me to visit many of them and I felt that it is a different and distinctive feeling to explore in harmony with my teachers, my friends. So, I am gonna thank to everyone, my teacher, my friends and my institute to offer me such opportunity.🥰🥰🥰🥰.
